Thursday

FIDLAR are playing a free show at Amoeba Hollywood before their sold out shows this weekend. They will also be signing copies of their album Almost Free

The LA Art Show opens to the general public today and runs until Sunday

The Egyptian Theatre is showing a double feature of Suspiria and Carrie which includes a discussion with actress Barbara Magnolfi

At Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE) in Hollywood, experimental vocalists Carmina Escobar, soprano sound artist Micaela Tobin, and special guest from Mexico City, visual sound artist Juan José Rivas will perform in the main gallery

MOCA at both locations is free this evening from 5-8pm and The Geffen location is free all weekend as well

The Aero Theatre is showing Wim Wenders’ film Wings of Desire

The Egyptian Theatre is showing another Dario Argento/Brian De Palma double feature this time it’s Blowout and Inferno

The Wiltern is screening Pink Floyd’s The Wall for the film’s 40th Anniversary

Dean Wareham and Cheval Sombre are performing together at Zebulon

The Parrots are playing with Mozes and The Firstborn at the Bootleg Theater

 

Saturday

Blum & Poe are hosting a book launch party for Friedrich Kunath’s I Don’t Worry Anymore with a special performance by Destroyer in conjunction with his excellent exhibition at the gallery which closes this weekend.

The James Hunter Six are playing an early show at The Echo

James Supercave are playing at the Troubadour with Winter and Lo Hum opening

Colleen Green is playing a free show at Highland Park Bowl with Susan and Space Kelly (formerly Dreamboat)

George Clanton is playing at Lodge Room with Surfing and Satin Sheets

 

Sunday
