The Growlers are playing a holiday show at The Wiltern

Is Die Hard a Christmas movie? The Egyptian Theatre thinks so and is showing it as part of a double feature with Trail of Robin Hood

Celebrate Winter Solstice with a Sound Bath at Center for the Arts Eagle Rock ($20-25)

Union Station is having another free Cocoa Concert that includes a performance by Lil’ Mo and the Dynaflos, a holiday light display, free cotton candy and more

Get in the holiday spirit at Grand Park’s free immersive nighttime art experience Winter Glow– 12 acres of art, projection and light display (running until 12/25)

LA Zoo Lights is the zoo’s holiday program with glow dancers and stilt walkers, ice sculpting, DJs, plus projections and lights displays around the zoo (running until 1/6/19)

Bob Baker Marionette Theater is performing their adaptation of The Nutcracker at the Pasadena Playhouse (all weekend and next week as well)

Funky Sole is celebrating its 19th Anniversary at The Echo with a night of DJs including special guest Cut Chemist

 

Sunday

The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA is free every weekend until March 25th and will probably be less crowded this weekend because of the holidays- a great time to see the Zoe Leonard and Laura Owens exhibitions

Cults are playing at The Echo with Guards opening

The Aero Theatre is showing It’s A Wonderful Life twice, at 4pm and 7:30
