clipping. is having an album release party/concert at Highways Performance Space with additional performances by Busdriver and Pedestrian Deposit ($10) or you can catch them earlier at Amoeba Records where they will be performing a free mini-set at 6pm

Downtown LA Artwalk is celebrating its 12-year anniversary with a retrospective show in their lounge in addition to the numerous exhibitions at other participating downtown galleries

Holy Ghost! are opening for the Ohio Players for the last of the free summer concerts at the Santa Monica Pier. It’s also the last night to check out the art installation Light Wave, also at the pier

Friday

The pool at Annenberg Beach House is having its last Sunset Swim, an adults only swim night from 7-10pm with free s’mores and fruit bars ($10)

The LA County Fair continues this weekend and the concert tonight is Blondie along with special guest The Smithereens

Artist Dan Winter is giving a lecture with a Q&A session and an exhibition walk through at Fahey/Klein Gallery

The Los Angeles International Neon Jubilee is having a free all day event at The Velaslavasay Panorama to celebrate the re-lighting of their 1939 neon marquee. There will be live music, animation activities and workshops with the Echo Park Film Center, puppet shows by the Bob Baker Marionette Theater and more. (RSVP strongly recommended)

NELA Art Second Saturday Gallery Night is a great chance to check out the Northeast Los Angeles art scene
