The Moonjacks- 805

Every month I listen to the majority of bands/singers/musicians/artists who are playing in Los Angeles and then make selections for a playlist the following month. It includes a variety of genres and usually newer work by the artist. This time I’ve also included a song from 1980, by Agent Orange, an Orange County punk band who played around California last month.

The song above is from The Moonjacks, a band based out of San Luis Obispo, California. It’s a fun summer song celebrating the “805”, an area in California that includes their county as well as Santa Barbara and Ventura.

They are playing an album release show at The Smell in Los Angeles this Friday (9/2/22) with Sept and Wayword.
