Every week before making suggestions for which bands to see in Los Angeles, I preview every band or performer I find a listing for. If I think they are worth checking out I put them in that month’s playlist and then when the month is over I review it and make it public.
This month there was a lot of good music so the playlist has been split into two.
The playlists above are a selection of songs from the bands and performers that played in Los Angeles last month.
May was a great month to see music in Los Angeles- so good one playlist for the month wasn’t enough!
Wye Oak- Fish
This song is from Wye Oak’s 2011 album Civilian. The video was created by two fellow Baltimore artists, Katherine Fahey and photographer Michael O’Leary. For more information on the video this is a good article at NPR.
Wye Oak are playing at Club Bahia on tonight, 7/30/15.
