Things to do in Los Angeles this weekend (2/5-2/8/15)-
Thursday
The Craft & Folk Art Museum is having two events- the first is a free preview and cocktail reception for the Fourth Annual Benefit Trunk Show (also going on Friday and Saturday) and it’s Craft Night where you can learn to make paper mosaics ($8)
A little further away at Pomona College Museum of Art, the Guerrilla Girls are performing to go along with the current exhibition Guerrilla Girls: Art in Action with a reception afterwards
Echo Park Film Center is having an open screening where anyone can show their film plus there will be free pizza
John Oates (of Hall and Oates) will be performing at Amoeba Hollywood (free)
Friday
First Fridays are back at the Natural History Museum with Robert DeLong, Tom Vek, and Quitapenas playing (reserved tix are sold out but there should be some available first come, first served at 7pm at the door)
The Natural History Museum is also having an after party with Tom Vek DJ’ing at the Regent Theater
Downtown there’s also Dark Nights at LA Live with $5 food and drink specials and lots of free entertainment
Saturday
Full Exposure: Art and Pornography in Los Angeles is a panel discussion in conjunction with the Larry Sultan exhibit at LACMA. A screening of Boogie Nights follows the discussion.
Dum Dum Zine Release party with Tulips, Bloody Death Skull and So Many Wizards performing
The Egyptian Theater is showing the final director’s cut of Blade Runner
