Pet Shop Boys- Opportunities (Let’s Make Lots of Money)
The Pet Shop Boys, like a few other acts who were big in the 1980’s (Pixies, The Cult, The Replacements), are playing Coachella this year. This song from was on their debut album Please from 1986. This satirical song was meant to be a commentary on the consumerism of the 80’s but feels just as appropriate today.

Nearly twenty years ago, on April 5th 1994, Kurt Cobain died. He was a huge fan of The Vaselines and covered a few of their songs, including Son of a Gun, Molly’s Lips and Jesus Doesn’t Want Me for a Sunbeam. This song and Molly’s Lips were included on Nirvana’s compilation album Incesticide.

Radars to the Sky- You Take it To Heart
This video of Radars to the Sky is from the Knock and Rock project where bands go door to door trying to get strangers to let them play in their house. In the video above, the band finds a house with a family of musicians and the result is really sweet.
