Hauser & Wirth is hosting the three night film series (it started Thursday) I Still Dream About California, organized by Annie Leibovitz to accompany her exhibition at the gallery. The film this evening is Robert Altman’s The Long Goodbye. Tickets are sold out but you can still join the waitlist.

Rayland Baxter is playing at the Teragram Ballroom with T. Hardy Morris and Mattiel opening

Artist Jennifer West will be choosing artwork from LACMA’s Photography and Prints & Drawings collections to display in the Study Center and discussing why she selected them and how they relate to her own art practice as part of LACMA’s Artists on Art series. (free but ticket required)

There’s a lot to do at Grand Park today- first Bernie Sanders will be having a rally there at 2:30pm and later the ACLU has a free all day event that includes speakers, a panel discussion, and a performance by Tom Morello (of Rage Against The Machine) with special guests Vic Mensa and K. Flay

From 12-5pm is the 13th Annual Santa Monica Airport Artwalk, with open art studios, art exhibitions, art demonstrations, performances, and more (free)

Amyl and The Sniffers are playing at the Bootleg Theater with Richard Rose and Shark Toys opening

Hippie Sabotage are playing at the Hollywood Palladium

MOCA Senior Curator Bennett Simpson will lead a final walkthrough of both Zoe Leonard: Survey and Laura Owens at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA – both exhibitions close on Monday 3/25 (admission to the museum and this program are both free)

Bootleg Theater is showing the rarely seen 1947 film Les Jeux Sont Faits, based on a screenplay by Jean-Paul Sartre, at 6pm and afterwards Psychic Love are playing a free show at 8:30pm to celebrate the release of their new album

R.L.Kelly, Merce Lemon, Cuddle Formation, and Glowing Birds are playing at The Smell

Zebulon is having a free screening of Stanley Kubrick’s Clockwork Orange at 1pm

The LA Marathon is taking place throughout the city, cheer on the runners and prepare for a lot of street and highway ramp closures

Mothers are playing at Resident with Lala Lala opening

At ICA LA they are having a free event to celebrate the launch of the online literary magazine SUBLEVEL Issue Two: The Speculative with an evening of poetry by Will Alexander, and a screening of work by artist Nicole Miller followed by a conversation between Miller and writer Tisa Bryant.

A limited number of tickets will be available at the door at LACMA for a screening of The Sisters Brothers with a post screening conversation with John C. Reilly

The Dodos are playing at the Moroccan Lounge with Prism Tats opening

LACMA is hosting a free screening of La Grande Sortie, directed by artist Alex Prager. After the screening there will be a free talk and book signing with the artist and LACMA CEO and Wallis Annneberg Director Michael Govan

Photographer Paul Sepuya will be speaking with Hamza Walker about the relationship between artist and subject, representation, nudity and intimacy at The Getty Museum (free with ticket)

Bill Laurance is playing an early (5:30pm) show at the Echoplex

The Brewery Art Walk is back for its free two day event- a chance to see what artists in the massive complex are working on as well as enjoying some food and drinks

David Lynch is curating a two day event called Festival of Disruption at The Theatre at the Ace Hotel. There will be talks and screenings, including one with Lynch, performances by RZA, Mercury Rev, and Vic Mensa, a soundbath called Liminal with Jonsi of Sigur Ros, Alex Somers, and Paul Corley, art exhibits and more

Christopher Rountree and members of the LA Phil will perform Ben Patterson’s Instruction No.2 (Please Wash Your Face) of 1964, Rebekah Heller of the International Contemporary Ensemble will lead a participatory workshop designed around the music of Pauline Oliveros in the Central Garden, and Fluxus scholar Natilee Harren will give an illustrated talk drawing from the Getty’s extensive archives of Fluxus ephemera all as part of LA Phil Fluxus Festival: Fluxus Learning Event at The Getty (free but ticket required)

ICA LA (Institute of Contemporary Art) is having it’s Grand Opening Weekend with exhibition tours, talks, performances, workshops and more (free, also on Sunday)

It’s the second day of the Day N Night Fest in Anaheim and tonight Chance The Rapper, SZA, Vic Mensa, Earl Sweatshirt, Lil Uzi Vert, and Playboi Carti are just some of the many performers (Travis Scott headlines Friday)

Pamela M. Lee, Osgood Hooker Professorship in Fine Arts, Stanford University, will be at LACMA to discuss the art scenes in New York and Los Angeles at the time Virginia Dwan operated her galleries in the two cities. The free lecture is in conjunction with LACMAs current exhibition Los Angeles to New York: Dwan Gallery, 1959–1971
