Every month I listen to the majority of bands/singers/musicians/artists who are playing in Los Angeles and select some for a monthly playlist. It includes a variety of genres and usually newer work by the artist.
This month’s playlist also includes an older song, Frank Black’s Headache. It is from his 1994 album Teenager of the Year, which he was recently on tour performing in full.
The song above is from Magdalena Bay‘s 2024 album, Imaginal Disk.
The painting above, Wave of Mutilation, is from Alex Sewell’s February 2023 exhibition Dad? at TOTAH in NYC.
Wave of Mutilation is also a song by the band Pixies, off their 1989 album Doolittle.
