Hammer Museum is hosting a reading/performance of Bryan Doerries Theater of War for Veteran’s Day. Michael Imperioli, Heather Goldenhersh, Riley Shanahan and Doerries will perform readings of Sophocles’s Ajax, “the ancient Greek play about the suicide of a great warrior, as a catalyst for a powerful public discussion about suicide, combat stress, and alcohol and substance abuse in the military community”. There will also be a talk on contemporary witchcraft and a closing ceremony by Amanda Yates Garcia, the Oracle of Los Angeles.

Seth MacFarlane is hosting The Grove Christmas which includes a live musical performance, the lighting of the Christmas tree, and a fireworks finale (free)

Yutaka Sone and Benjamin Weissman: What Every Snowflake Knows in Its Heart

A celebration of snow, skiing and nature, Yutaka Sone and Benjamin Weissman’s collaboration is part sculpture, part painting, and part story- complete with working mini chairlift.

Today (4/5) is the last day to see this show at Santa Monica Museum of Art.
